  1. VyStar wants to give you free Culver’s! Come to room 422 to open a savings account with VyStar and win a free Culver’s sandwich. Promotion runs from March 8th to April 30th. Remember to bring $5.00, Social Security Number, Mother’s maiden name, Form of identification.

 

 

  1. Our new monthly craft is here… this month it’s a make-and-take kit for sewing your own plush cat pin cushion! Stop by the library to pick up your free kit today!

 

  1. Voting for your favorite Florida Teens Read book is now open! Voting runs through April 14th, so stop by the library to cast your vote for your favorite title from this year. The Florida Teens Read award is the ONLY award chosen by students, so make your voice heard!

 

 

  1. Last day to buy Tinkerbell tickets is Thursday, April 8th- make sure to buy tickets for this weekend’s performances from a cast member or from Ms. Riso in room 245. Tickets will not be sold at the door”

 

  1. Every day you visit the library during the month of April you have the chance to win a prize! Look for Ms. Neff and Ms. Handley in Bitmoji form hidden around the library. If you find their Bitmoji, go to the desk and report where you found them for a prize. The Bitmojis move every day, so every day is another chance to win!

 

  1. What would your dream library look like? What kind of furniture would it have? What cool features would you include? Ms. Neff is redesigning our school library for the 2021-2022 school year and she wants to hear your ideas to make it a space of your dreams. Submit your idea in any form you like: essay, drawing, 3D model, Minecraft pictures, etc., for a chance to win a $25 Barnes and Noble gift card and to influence our new setup for next year! Submissions are due by Friday, April 30th.

 

  1. Seniors! Make sure to pre-order your Senior Shirts on School Pay by Thursday April 8th. See the Schoology group for more information!

If you are one of the lucky people to check a book out with a four leaf clover inside, you win a prize! This runs from Thursday, March 4th through the end of the month.   • Cheerleading tryouts are coming April 3rd! Clinics begin this today from 3 to 5 in the PAC and Thursday 4 to 6 pm. Please make sure you fill out the google interest form and contact Coach Turner with any questions.

 

  • Mr/Miss Menendez we are still accepting participants ONLY through this week! Interested please stop by Room 825.

  1. All girls soccer players should turn in their uniforms to Coach Reid in room 815 by the end of the day tomorrow, Tuesday, March 9th. Please return both jerseys, your blue shorts, and your soccer bag. Be sure to wash all items and put uniforms in a plastic bag with your name on it!

  • “Spread the Word to end the Word, is coming Wednesday March 3. Stop by in the courtyard to a pledge against the use of the R Word.”
  • “If you are in Best buddies, don’t forget we’re having a meeting March 4th at 8:30.”
  • The Track team is looking for a 12 student volunteers for our home track meet next week (3/5). Volunteers will be asked to set up hurdles, measure jumps or throws and assist with meet management. Volunteers who sign up will be given a T-shirt and community service hours. If you are interested, please see Coach Ray in room 400 before school.
  • The Lady Falcon Lacrosse team visited Gainesville HS on Friday evening.

The Falcons defeated Gainesville HS (district opponent)18-6 for their first win of the season.Menendez was led by Raina Richard with 8 goals and 4 assists, Amber Fuentes with 4 goals and Kenzie Hagan with 4 goals and 2 assists. Caroline Bond and Amara Veng also scored a goal.

On Tuesday, March 2, the Lady Falcons will be playing their first home against Mandarin HS. The game will start at 5:30pm. Come out and enjoy a great game.

  • “ASL Silent Functions are back! Today there will be a Silent Function at the Dunkin Donuts, across from the Old Moultrie Publix. The functions from 3 to 5.”

  • There are only TWO craft kits left for this month from the library! This month’s craft is making your own felt alpaca, and everything you need is included! But hurry, these last two kits will go fast!
  • Don’t forget this Friday is the last day to turn in your Winter Reading Challenge forms to the library! You don’t have to have all 14 categories completed, so just do your best and don’t forget to turn them in before you leave on Friday. Thanks!
  • Another great team win for the softball team last night defeating Flagler Palm Coast 7-5, moving to 2-0 on the season. Mandy Taylor picked up the win striking out 10 in for 4 1/3 innings while going 2-4 at the plate. PJ Gatlin went 3-4 with a homerun and 3 RBI’s. Grace Day went 2-4 with a double, Becca Faustini and Emma Bates went 2-4 while Jordan Alcorn had a double. Great job to all of our Softball players.

  • If you see a girls soccer player, congratulate them on their BIG win last night! The lady falcons beat Yulee 2-1 yesterday to win the regional quarter finals. They play Friday against Bishop Kenny. More details soon to come!

  • Blind Date with a Book has returned to the library! Come by and pick up a mystery book for a sweet treat. This runs through 2/12.
  • There are 6 spots remaining for the 2021 Talent Show! See Coach Ryan in Room #935 for details.
  • ASL Club will be meeting in room 985 on Wednesday, February 10th starting at 3:00 PM.
  • We have four embroidery craft kits left in the library. If you’d like to get your own make-and-take craft kit to make your own winter tote bag, swing by the library to pick one up.
