Good afternoon Falcons! Here are today’s announcements.

Attention Student, Attention Students:  If you are currently taking courses at St. Johns River State College and need to sign up for 2nd semester courses. Please come and make an appointment with your Guidance Counselor.

JV/V Football: If you have not picked up your mug, see Coach DeVos in room 985.

There will be Tutoring every Wednesday in the Media Center from 2:45 – 4:45. We will have busing. Tutoring is also available every Tuesday and Thursday at lunches.

Boys Basketball: Conditioning, today, Thursday, Oct. 18th after school. You must have a physical on file to participate.

Attention Artist! If you are interested in doing creative projects around school, you should join NAHS! Meetings are every Wednesday at 8:30 in room 223 (Mrs. Modling). Everyone is welcome.

The Menendez Dance Ensemble – Applebee’s Pancake Breakfast- Sunday October 21st 8-10am. Tickets are $12. Please see any MDE dancer to purchase.

Blood Drive: The Student Council is hosting a sign-up day this Friday, October 19th, for the November 15th blood drive. There will be a table set up with the registration info outside the cafeteria during all lunches.  See Mr. Hoog in room 955.

“Are you interested in learning how to operate the sound board, Lighting equipment and fly system in our PAC? Would you like to work in the booth and backstage at school events and earn community service hours while doing so? Pick up a tech Crew info packet from room 440.  All applications are due back by October 31st.”

 

 

 

Picture Day: FRIDAY IS PICTURE DAY!!! School picture day for 9th -11th grade students is Tomorrow, Friday, October 19th. Students if you have not received a packet, you can pick one up in the front office, Attendance office, Guidance or room 925. ATTENTION SENIORS- Tomorrow is the Last and Final day you can get your picture in the yearbook. Any Senior that has NOT had their picture taken. Tomorrow is the LAST FINAL DAY. Any questions seniors, see Mrs. Johnson room 925. Facility and Staff, Please remember to get your picture taken Friday in the PAC for IDs.

Media Center will be closed today, so there will be No IDs made today.

Attention Boys Soccer: Practice for the week will be cancelled due to weather.

NHS News: Inductees and officers- induction practice is on Thursday October 11th at 3:45 in the PAC. ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY. Officers meeting Thursday @ 8:30 am in room 840. There will be a meeting on Friday, Oct. 12 at 8:30in the Media Center. Please bring dues! This meeting is for CURRENT members.

Senior Women: Meeting in Mrs. Waldrop’s room 200 @ 8:30am on Thursday, Oct. 11th.

Best Buddies: Officer Meeting 8:00am on Thursday, Oct. 11th. If you are an officer… please don’t miss this meeting.

Attention Seniors: Please stop by the 200 breezeway during your lunch to cast your final vote for Homecoming King & Queen.

Wednesday, October 3rd, Tutoring begins after school @ 2:45 – 4:45 with buses running to Hastings and the South.

*Lunch & Tutoring: There is Tutoring in the College reading room Tuesdays and Thursdays. Anyone needing help in their classes please stop by. You will be able to have your lunch and receive tutoring at your lunchtime.

Homecoming INFO: The theme for skit night & Homecoming dance is “Out of this World”. So the movie themes are based on characters from space, creatures from space that are in movies. Dress – u days for Monday October 8th is Generation Day(9th grade- Babies, 10th grade- Toddlers, 11th grade- Adults, 12th grade – Senior Citizens) School dress code does applies. Skit Night is Wednesday, Oct. 10th @ 6:30 in the PAC.

Homecoming Court Nominations: Attention Students – Please swing by the cafeteria this Wednesday or Thursday to place your nomination for the 2018-2019 Homecoming Court.

Attention Students:  In all Social Studies Classes, you can register to Vote and celebrate Freedom! Join Students across the U.S. by registering Today – National Voter Registration Day.

“Calculate This “students come pick up a field trip form from Mr. Erb in Rm. 615. October 5th field trip to The   University of Florida. Interested students…Meetings are every Wednesday after school in the Media Center! Please have Transportation.

National Honor Society: NHS is accepting application for new members.  Mrs. Paone in room 845 or Mrs. Kennedy in room 840.  Applications are due Wednesday, Sept. 26th.

Media Center News: Students, you can be entered into a drawing to win a Barns and Noble gift card. Stop by the Media Center; show Mrs. Kilgallon your public library card or the public library card application during September.  We will draw the winner on Sept.28th. Also, Anyone needing an ID you can stop by the Media Center before School or during lunch.

The Menendez Dance Ensemble, Spirit Night– Tonight @ Chipotle, from 5 – 9 and Applebee’s Pancake Breakfast– Sunday October 21st 8-10am. Tickets are $12. Please see any MDE dancer to purchase.

Skills USA: There is a meeting Today, Sept. 25th after school in room 400 for anyone in the Academy of Architecture and Building Sciences, that is interested in joining Skills USA. The meeting will only be 30 minutes and should end at 4:15. Make sure you have transportation to get home after the meeting.

Ruff Club: The ruff Club will meet Wednesday, Sept. 26th, after school in room 770 with Mrs. Morrison. We will have two special guests! Please make sure you have transportation.

Boys Basketball conditioning will begin on Tuesday, Sept. 25th after school in the GYM.  To participate you must have a current physical on file.  Please see Coach Holmes in room 400 if you would like to attend.

Attention Freshmen: There will be a Freshmen Skit meeting tomorrow, Sept. 26th at 8:30 am in room 855.
