Announcements

  • Girls Soccer Players! There are only a few more conditioning practices until tryouts begin October 19th. Please attend if you are able. You must be cleared in order to participate. Please see Coach Reid in room 815 or Coach Spedden in room 999 for more details.

 

 

  • Boys Soccer Tryouts begin next week 10/19-10/20, make sure all your forms are complete with athletic clearance. If you have any questions, see Coach Messick in 940 1st period.

 

  • Trick or Treat with a Book returns next week in the library! Not sure what it is? Well, stop by and find out! Trick or Treat with a Book will run through the end of the month. Happy reading!

 

  • “Student Council wants to hear “YOUR” voice, starting today there will be a suggestion/input box in the media center. If you have any ideas for events or things you think need changing around the school, please stop by and drop in a card. Your opinions and input is what’s going to help us improve and better our school.”

  • Big congrats to the volleyball team! They won the first round of districts last night and will play in the semi-finals tonight at 5:30.

 

  • Pedro Menendez Bowling Team will be taking on St. Augustine High Bowling @ 4:00 today @ Anastasia Bowling Lanes!! Wish them luck.

 

  • Taking the PSAT tomorrow? Know your test room, get a good night sleep, eat a good breakfast, bring two # pencils, calculator, snack/water, jacket and be here at 9:15am!

Not taking the PSAT? Completion of work and checking in with each teacher via schoology is your attendance if you learn from home for the day.

If you haven’t already picked up a permission slip, please stop by before or after school and grab one from the Best Buddies Room. Before coming to the Activity make sure you have your permission slip and mask.”

  • Our FIRST Florida Teens Read/Battle of the Books Club meeting will be Friday, October 9th before school in the library from 8:30-9:10 am. If you are a returning member or interested in chatting with others about the Florida Teens Read books and possibly joining our Battle of the Books team, please attend!

  • Our Project Lit book of the month is “Born a Crime” by the Daily Show’s Trevor Noah. If you are interested in reading Project Lit books and getting involved in the Project Lit movement, join our Schoology group today! Come by the library for the link.

Our Florida Teens Read group and quizzes are now live on Schoology! Ask your English teacher or Ms. Neff on information on how to join.
