  • Attention all Juniors and seniors: If you would like to meet with a college rep, we have many that are already scheduled. Please stop by guidance to sign up.

 

  • Any 9th, 11th or 12th grade students who would like to take the PSAT on October 16 you must sign up for the test using school pay. Please visit the PMHS homepage and click on school pay to register for this test.

Remember, it can give a concordant score for Algebra 1 EOC and it can help qualify students for scholarships! The cost is $21.00

 

  • Anyone needing to take the PERT for Dual Enrollment or concordant scores for graduation, please sign up at Mr. Cofield’s office before Friday September 20th. The PERT will be offered on October 3rd.

 

  • National Honor Society is now accepting applications for new members. You must be a Sophomore or older, have at least a 3.5 UNWEIGHTED GPA, and take a minimum of 2 Honors level or higher classes.  Please see Mrs. Paone in room 845 or Mrs. Kennedy in room 840 to get an application.  Applications are due no later than September 26th.

 

 

  • There will be a parent meeting for Girls Weightlifting on Monday 09/23 @ 5:30 in the Cafeteria for anyone interested in being on the team. Please see Coach Lippo if you have any questions.

 

  • On Wednesday Sept 18th there will be a meeting in the Media Center @ 6:00 pm to discuss the information for the Spain Trip for next year. This is a wonderful opportunity offered to our Pedro Students & Parents. Please join Mr. John Miller to get all the exciting information.

 

  • Anyone interested in Wrestling please see Coach Leonard in the cafeteria during all lunches.

 

 

  • Photography Club will be holding a meeting this Thursday 09/19 @ 8:30 in Rm # 223.

 

  • Guitar Club will have it’s first meeting immediately after school today in the band room. Please see Mr. Fulford if you have any questions.

 

  • Drama Club meets tomorrow in the Cafeteria after school until 4 pm. Be sure to arrange your ride home. New members can sign up at the Drama Club table at Open House tonight from 5 to 7.

*Drama club meets in the PAC Wed., Feb. 20th right after school until 4:pm.  Arrange for your ride home.

 

*Can you escape the 80s?  The media center will have an 80s themed escape/breakout on February 28th right after school. Please see Mrs. Kilgallon or Coach Flowers for more details.  It will be totally radical.

 

*Last Blood Drive of 2018/2019 school year.  Thursday, March 28th.  Sign up in room 955.

 

*RUFF Club – Want to win a Romano’s Pizza Party? This is the last week for 4th period classes to bring in dog and cat food. Friday, Feb 22nd is the deadline.

 

*If you have any Artwork you would like to have presented in the yearbook. Come to room 925 during your lunch to submit it.

 

*Southbeach Grill is looking for hostess.  Please come to the restaurant to inquire.

 

*Juniors or Seniors if you are interested in getting a job by the beach, Join the Rita Ice Team.  You can find the application online and we are looking forward to seeing you this summer.

*Media Center News – It is the last week to participate in the media center’s blind date with a book. Remember to turn in your rate-your- book-date form to be entered to win a delicious box of chocolates.  Drawing is on Feb. 14th.

*Book Battle Club will be meeting after school on today, Wednesday, Feb 13th. Please make sure you have a ride home.

*Jazz Club is canceled Thursday, Feb. 14th.

 

*RUFF Club – Want to win a Romano’s Pizza Party? The 4th period class to bring in the most dog and cat food between now and February 22nd wins pizza, garlic knots, and dessert from the RUFF Club.

 

*Any junior interested in participating in the Mr. or Miss Menendez Pageants please attend the informational meeting in Ms. Kiara’s room 245, at 8:30am on Tuesday Feb. 19th.

 

*If you have Artwork you would like to have presented in the yearbook. Come to room 925 during your lunch to submit it.

 

*VyStar – We will be closed Thursday, Feb. 14th.

Anyone interested in applying for a student internship with Vystar Credit Union, please see Mr. Davidson in room 960, or the Credit Union.  All applicants should have a minimum GPA of 2.5 and a typed resume. Return all applications to Mr. Davidson.

Good afternoon Falcons! Here are your announcements

 

*The Model United Nations successfully competed at the University of Georgia MUN conference this weekend. Please Congratulate Senior Aiden Duffy as he was awarded a Distinguished Delegate award for his work throughout the conference.  Great job to the whole team!

 

*A Drivers learner Permit class is scheduled at Pedro Menendez High School beginning Tuesday, February 19th through Tuesday, March 5th from 8:am – 9:am.  We have 20 students scheduled to attend.

 

*Book Battle Club will be meeting after school on today, Monday, Feb. 11th and Wednesday, Feb 13th. Please make sure you have a ride home.

 

*Lost & Found: We have a backpack with clothes in it, and a lunch box with a face on it and many other lunch boxes in lost & Found in the front reception office.

 

*Last Blood Drive of 2018/2019 school year.  Thursday, March 28th.  Sign up in room 955.

 

* Talent Show-  Mandatory meeting for all contestants on Wed. Feb. 13th in room 935 at 9:00am and at 2:45pm.  Contestants must attend one of the meetings.

 

*Best Buddies will be selling cookie grams for $6. during all lunches.  Cookie grams will be delivered on Valentine’s Day Thursday Feb. 14th.  Buy that special friend a cookie gram!

 

*RUFF Club will begin its fourth annual “Have a Heart” dog and cat food drive next week.  The fourth period class that collects the most food (based on weight) per student will receive a Romanio’s pizza party.  The drive will run from Feb. 11th through Feb. 22nd.

 

*Anyone needing a Job – Southbeach Grill at Crescent Beach is looking for hostess.  Please come to the restaurant to inquire.

 

*Drama Club meets today after school in the Cafeteria until 5:pm.  The club will meet again Wednesday in the PAC.  This week’s meeting are especially important, so if you cannot attend, important, so if you cannot attend, please let Ms. Cohen in rm. 855 know. Arrange for your ride home.

* Today, Friday, Feb. 8th, is the last day to help us donate items for St. Johns Homeless Coalition. The box for this is in your first period class. There will be a Donut Breakfast on Wed. Feb 13th for the most Donated.

Attention Student Drivers:  We are currently sold out of parking permits.  We will begin a parking permit waiting list starting Tomorrow, Wednesday, Feb. 6th in the morning, in the event that more spots come available in the future.  See Dean Cofield in Attendance to get on the list.  A valid driver’s license is required to be added to the list.

Congratulations to Girls Basketball and there 62 – 26  win over Interlachen.

 

*Jan. 28th – Feb. 1st is Literacy Week.

*Today – Wacky Reading Wednesday – get caught reading get candy

Throwback book character Thursday – with in dress code, Dress up like a book character.

Friday Reads – Blind Date with a book

 

*Today, Wednesday Jan. 30th from 5:pm – 7:30 pm Join the Model United Nations in the PAC as we remember the millions of victims who suffered during the Holocaust.  We will be showing the movie “Life is Beautiful”, a story about a Jewish-Italian family separated by the Nazis and taken to a concentration camp.  We will conclude with time for discussion and reflection.
