Good afternoon Falcons! Here are today’s announcements.
Picture Retakes! Friday, Nov. 9th … in the PAC. For Underclassmen and Staff. Need a form or have a question see Mrs. Johnson in room 925.
We will be giving the ASVAB on November 14th. See Ms. Giuliani in Guidance to sign up!
Attention Students that are currently taking courses at St. Johns River State College and need to sign up for 2nd semester courses. Please come and make an appointment with your Guidance Counselor.
Today, Oct. 31st Tutoring will run from 2:45 – 4:00 in the Media Center. We will have busing. Tutoring will resume Wednesday, Nov. 7th from 2:45 – 4:45. Tutoring is also available every Tuesday and Thursday at lunches.
AVID is now taking collections for victims of Hurricane Michael. Please bring in donations of water bottles toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner, diapers, canned foods, and non-perishables. Bring all donations to your 01 class. Thank you for your generosity!
Boys Basketball tryouts will be on Monday, November 5th after school. If you are interested, see Coach Holmes in room 400 to sign up. You must have a physical and be cleared on the athletic clearance site as well in order to tryout.
Blood Drive – Nov. 15th Spaces are limited! Please sign up with Mr. Hoog in room 955. If students have signed up and DO NOT HAVE their HALL PASS, see Mr. Hoog.
The deadline for tech crew application has been extended until Friday at 3:45. Applications are available in room 440 or in the media center
The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention is hosting the “Out of the Darkness Walk” for suicide awareness on November 17th. The walk will take place between 10: am to Noon that Saturday at the track. If your or anyone you know would be interested in participating, please register online at asfp.org/StAugustine. Note that you do not have to donate in order to participate.
The Student Council is organizing a Thanksgiving Food Drive Between Monday, Nov. 5th and Friday, Nov. 16th. All donations will be collected in 1st period classes, and whichever class donates the most food will win a Dunkin Donut breakfast. Non-perishable Thanksgiving foods are the main target, but donations of bonus items (including fruit cups, powdered milk, peanut butter, cereal, proteins, and mac and cheese) will provide extra points to your class’s score. See Mr. Hoog in room 955 for any questions.
The Athletic Leadership Council will be selling “SimpStrong” bands for a donation of $2. or more. All proceeds will be going to the Simpkins Family. Students will be selling them at all lunches. You can also see Mrs. Waldrop, Ms. Ostopick, Coach Turner, or Ms. Taylor to purchase them.
