|March 1st||Southern Scholarship Foundation||
SSF provides rent-free scholarship housing for qualified incoming or current undergraduate and graduate students demonstrating academic achievement (a minimum 3.0 cumulative state GPA), financial need (as identified on the FAFSA), and good character. With our scholarship, students save an average of $13,000 per year. We accept applicants who are in any year of their undergraduate or graduate degree programs, but to make the most of this opportunity we recommend that students who will be enrolling in or transferring to one of our above mentioned institutions should apply for our housing scholarship the semester before they arrive.
We have 27 scholarship houses throughout the state of Florida and are looking to extend our recruitment efforts. We have attached our recruitment flyer & executive summary in hopes that you can share this opportunity with any eligible students you may know.
We accept online applications year-round! However, the sooner students submit a completed application, the better! Our priority deadline for the Fall semester is March 1st. The application timeline, under the student tab on our website, is extremely helpful in keeping up with dates like this. Please spread the word to students, department chairs, co-workers, etc.

Alpha Delta Kappa Delta Omicron Scholarship. Any graduating senior in St. Johns, Clay and Flagler counties who plans to pursue a degree in Education is eligible to apply. The deadline to submit a completed application is March 23, 2018. The amount of the scholarship varies from year to year, however, in recent years we have been able to award $1000 scholarships.

The Duane L. Ottenstroer Legacy Scholarship provides two years of college tuition to a St. Johns County high school student who shares Ottenstroer’s interest in public service.
Interested seniors must submit a 500 word essay by March 23 on the topic “The Value of Public Service: How Can Public Service Positively Affect an Individual and Their Community.” Also a letter of recommendation must be submitted by a teacher or educational professional.
