Announcements

Good afternoon Falcons! Here are today’s announcements.

We will be giving the ASVAB on November 14th.  See Ms. Giuliani in Guidance to sign up!

Attention Students!  If you are currently taking courses at St. Johns River State College and need to sign up for 2nd semester courses. Please come and make an appointment with your Guidance Counselor.

There will be Tutoring every Wednesday in the Media Center from 2:45 – 4:45. We will have busing. Tutoring is also available every Tuesday and Thursday at lunches.

Spanish Club – Bring a $1. to have your face painted by the Spanish Club during all lunches on Wednesday, Oct. 31st , Halloween.

Yearbook will be sponsoring a Halloween Costume Contest. 1st place $15 coupon off a yearbook, 2nd place $10 coupon off a yearbook, 3rd $5.coupon off a yearbook.

HOSA will be having a meeting for all members on Tuesday, Oct.30th at 8:30 am in the PAC. We will be discussing the upcoming HOSA week! Remember to bring in your gallon jugs to Ms. Willis’ room 222.

AVID is now taking collections for victims of Hurricane Michael.  Please bring in donations of water bottles toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner, diapers, canned foods, and non-perishables.  Bring all donations to your 01 class.  Thank you for your generosity!

Girls Basketball tryouts today, Monday, Oct. 29th at 4: pm in the GYM. Must have athletic physical and clearance completed to participate.

Boys Basketball tryouts will be on Monday, November 5th after school.  If you are interested, see Coach Holmes in room 400 to sign up.  You must have a physical and be cleared on the athletic clearance site as well in order to tryout.

Blood Drive – Nov. 15th.      There will be a table at all lunches to sign up for the Blood Drive.   Spaces are limited!  Don’t forget to get a confirmation form from Mr. Hoog in Rm. 955 after singing up.

“Are you interested in learning how to operate the sound board, Lighting equipment and fly system in our PAC? Would you like to work in the booth and backstage at school events and earn community service hours while doing so? Pick up a tech Crew info packet from room 440.  All applications are due back by October 31st.

“Calculate This” Students that attended the UF field trip, stop by to see Mr. Erb in rm. 615 to pick up your permission slip for the next field trip to Full Sail University and UCF.

The Athletic Leadership Council will be selling “SimpStrong” bands for a donation of $2. or more.  All proceeds will be going to the Simpkins Family. Students will be selling them at all lunches. You can also see Mrs. Waldrop, Ms. Ostopick, Coach Turner, or Ms. Taylor to purchase them.
