Please congratulate Holly Lands, Cera King, and DeeDee Small who are competing at the Girls Weightlifting State Championships in Kissimmee Friday. If you see these young ladies please wish them luck!

 

Boys Tennis – In a St. Johns River Athletic Conference match Pedro Menendez boys defeated Matanzas 7-0. Team records – Pedro Menendez 1-0 Matanzas 0-1.

 

Seniors & Juniors – We will be taking a field trip to St. Johns River State College on March 4th.   Any junior or senior who is interested in visiting the college may attend.

Please pick up a form from Mrs. Danner. The first 45 people to sign up will be allowed to attend.

 

Any student wanting to ride the spirit bus to the Girls Basketball game Thursday night must see Mrs. Taylor for a permission slip. The permission slips must be turned in by the end of school today. If there are not enough students signed up the we will not be getting a Spirit Bus.

 

Attention Seniors – There are only 15 seats left for Grad Bash. Please see Dean Arnold A.S.A.P. First come first serve. $25.00 deposit due to secure your seat.   Full price is

$100.00.

The classroom with the most donations (based on class size and food weight) will win a Chick-fil A breakfast during the week of February 14th.

Attention all students taking the ACT Saturday, February 6th. Please plan to arrive between 7:30 and 8:00am. Students that arrive late may not be allowed to test.

Also be sure to please bring your ACT registration ticket as well as a valid ID with you.

Acceptable forms of ID include your driver’s license or school ID. Sign in will take place in the cafeteria.

 

GSA/LGBT – Meeting after school in room 755. The Flagler College Unity Club will be joining us to start a mentorship program with the college students. Please join us!

 

Spanish Club – Meeting Tuesday, February 9th in room 740.

VyStar is now accepting applications for openings in the student branch for next year. To apply you must be a member of the business academy of currently taking a business course. Applicants must also have a good grades and cannot have any disciplinary issues. Pick up an application from Mr. Connors in room 960 or in the credit union during lunch.

If you are interested in taking Dual Enrollment next year you need to sign up for the College Placement test.

Your GPA must be a 3.0 or higher unweighted.

We will be administering the test on February 2nd.  The deadline to register is January 18.

Please see Mrs. Giuliani in Guidance for the paperwork to register.

Monday, January 11, 2016

Spring Softball will begin today, Monday, January 11th at 4:05 pm. Anyone interested in playing must have all paperwork in before they can participate in tryouts which will be January 11-13th.

 

Blood Drive tomorrow. Please remember to eat a good dinner and a good breakfast.

Remember seniors, there is a scholarship that you can apply for from the Blood Alliance.

The next MANDATORY meeting for the Battle of the Books is today right after school. You must attend to be a part of the team. It should only take 30-45 minutes.

 

Tinker Tuesdays will begin tomorrow, Tuesday in the media center during lunches. We will have coding and robotics for you to tinker and play with.
