Testing season has begun. That means the media center will have very limited availability and will be closed most of the day every day through May. Please plan ahead with school work because we won’t be able to let you in during testing. Thank you for your preparation.

The scholarship page is back in working order. New scholarships have been added. The Jered Revel Scholarship is still available. See Mrs. Deaton for more information.

Attention Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors! If you are interested in running for class office for next school year, applications are available at Ms. Cleary’s desk. Please come by and pick one up!

Sports Physicals!! If you plan on playing sports for the 2014-2015 school year you must have a current physical on file! Physicals for next school year will be on Saturday, April 26th, from 8am-10:30am for $10 at Orthopedic Associates of St. Augustine. Football is from 8-9, all other sports from 9-10:30.  There are NO free physicals this year, and the $10 goes directly to the athletic department.  If you have any questions see Ms. John, Coach Sapp, or Ms. Lippo.

Boys and Girls weight lifting banquet will be Thursday, May 8, at 6:45 pm in the cafeteria.
Sonny’s BBQ will be catering. Tickets are $10 and must RSVP OR PRE PAY before May 2nd.

There is a Best Buddies pot luck dinner tomorrow, Wednesday at 6 in the cafeteria. Please bring a dish and your family.

The Falcon Football Lift-a-thon will be in the Gym next Wednesday at 4pm. All participant Money is due at that time, and fans are welcome to come watch. This will kick off an exciting Spring and upcoming season!

Prom Tickets are now on sale in Mrs. John’s office.  Buy early and save!  $75 now through 4/23/14. See Mrs. John for more details or to obtain your guest form.

Attn. Juniors and Seniors The Powder Puff deadline has been extended to Thursday, 4/17. Please turn your forms and $15 in to Mrs. Jasmin or Ms. Lengyel ASAP!

Student Council is co-hosting a self-defense course with Koryodo Tae Kwon Du, April 12th. See Mr. Hoog in room 975 for details. The event benefits Relay for Life.

There will be a GSA meeting today, Wednesday after school in room 755. Everyone is welcome!

Attention students who have signed up to take the ACT on Saturday.  Please make sure you have all the appropriate paper work, picture ID, pencils, an approved calculator and you are here promptly at 7:30am. The doors will close at 8:00am sharp. NO admittance will be allowed after that.

Any Juniors or Seniors interested in participating in the Prom fashion show, please see Coach Ryan in room 935 by tomorrow, Thursday.

Students attending the AVID/IB University of Florida field trip this Saturday, please meet at the bus loop at 7 am. See Mrs. Mullins in room 855 if you have any questions.

Best Buddies – There is a Best Buddies activity today during 5th period. Also, there is a pot luck dinner Wednesday, April 16th at 6:00pm in the cafeteria.

Seniors attending grad bash, please remember you MUST be in school Friday! Mrs. Kim will be checking attendance before we leave. If you have a modified schedule, you cannot leave school and come back.  Make arrangements to stay with one of your teachers or see Mrs. Kim and she will help work it out for you.

Also, reminder that there is a dress code for Grad Bash! Ladies, no strapless or spaghetti straps, no mid-drift, nothing shorter than mid-thigh shorts! Gentleman, no tank tops (manks), no sports attire, no board shorts! Also, NO HATS!!!  Mrs. Winter will be checking dress code before we leave.  Any questions see Dean Winter, Mrs. Lippo, or Mrs. Williams.

Friday – April 4, 2014

CONGRATULATIONS to Savannah LeFors for winning the high jump with a new conference meet record and school record of 5’4”. Dalton Hodge was also the conference champion in the mile. The boy’s 4×800 meter team ran a new school record by 14 seconds and placed third in the Conference.

Thursday – April 3, 2014

Congratulations to the boys weightlifting team for defeating Interlachen yesterday 56-26 in their last regular season meet.  It has been a great season, and good luck to the 12 lifters that are moving on to the Sectional meet next Thursday at Warner Christian.

Magic audition sign-ins will begin right after school and the audition will begin promptly at 4.

Students who are interested in taking dual enrollment courses next year and have not yet taken the ACT or SAT need to take the College Placement Test.  We will be giving this test here at PMHS for free on April 9.  You must have a 3.0 GPA to qualify. Please see Mrs. Giuliani in Guidance to sign up.

Students Working Against Tobacco:
There will be a beach clean-up at A-street on St. Augustine Bch. today from 3:30 -5. Come out and earn service hours as we clean our beach!

A new scholarship has been added to the page for the Kiwanis club of St. Aug. Seniors, please be sure to log into the PMHS scholarship page and apply. The Kiwanis Club of St. Augustine will award four $500 scholarships to students attending St. Augustine High School, St. Joseph’s Academy, Pedro Menendez High School, Florida School for$500

Grad Bash-  If you have not signed up for your bus for Grad Bash, Mrs. Lippo will be in the courtyard tomorrow during all lunches.
