The Boy’s Golf Team finished 4th. at the District Tournament yesterday, to end the regular season of play. Jason Duff and Tristan Mihalich both qualified to play in Regionals. The team finished with an 11-1 record. Congratulations to the Boys’ golf Team.

The first meeting for the PMHS Podcasting club will be held in the library today, after school at 3:55.  We’ll select officers, pick themes, form creative teams, and discuss the podcast itself.  Have your voice heard around the world! Please be sure you have a ride home as there are no activity busses.  See you there!

 

There will be a battle of the Books meeting Monday after school. Mandatory for team members, but potential new members are welcome to attend, too!

September is National Library Card Sign-up Month! If you have a public library card, enter to win a Barnes and Noble gift card by stopping by the media center throughout the month of September. The winner will be announced the last day of the month.

Community service hours: Students if you are in need of earning community service hours the Pink up the pace 5K is in need of volunteers starting Wednesday, October 4th. Stop by Mrs. Prices’ office for additional information.

Swim team will be having a pancake breakfast this Saturday from 8-10AM

at Shaughnessy’s in Moultrie Plaza.

Tickets are $7.00 and available at the door.

 

There will be a second meeting for the trip to London and Paris next July for those who missed the makeup meeting last week. The meeting will be in the media center Monday Oct 2 at 6:00PM Students interested in getting information must attend with at least one parent. 

 

“Valdosta State University will be in the Guidance Conference Room during all lunches on Monday, October 2nd. All interested students are encouraged to stop by and talk to the admissions representative.”

 

Key Club- there will be a Key club meeting next Tuesday, October 3rd at 8:45am in room 945. Key club is a way for students to get community service hours while helping those in need. See Coach Jones in room 945 for more information.

 

Tuesday, October 3rd is our Open House.  There will be a baked ziti dinner starting at 5:00PM.

In addition to visiting classrooms, clubs will be set up, and falcon wear and yearbooks for sale.

There will also be a Dual Enrollment representative from St. Johns River here to answer questions.

 

Junior classmen:  There is a Jr. class skit meeting Monday morning at 8:00am in room  935.

CONGRATULATIONS to the boys’ golf team with their win:

Jason Duff, Match Medalist, shot a 37 to lead the Boy’s Golf team with a 157 to 190 over Palatka. Andrew Kirschman 39, Tristan Mihalich 40, Hunter Boahn and Daniel Rot both shot 41.

The team is now 7-1.

Florida Teens Read book club has been moved to this Wednesday, the 27th. We will be discussing The Darkest Corners. We end at 3:45 so please make sure to have a ride home.
