Attention seniors: The Jostens representative will return to Pedro Menendez tomorrow, Wednesday, March 25th and Thursday, March 26th during all lunches to deliver senior products (caps, gowns, and announcements. Etc.)

Mr. Menendez is tomorrow night at 6:30 in the PAC. Tickets are $5 in advance, $7 at the door.

Congratulations to Emily Kayworth, she received FIRST place for 3D/ Sculpture in the All-County High School Art Show!!!

Congratulations to the boys wrestling team. They finished 10th out of 33 teams in the state regionals and is sending Rodney Padgett to the state finals this Friday.

Congratulations to the boys tennis team: In a district tennis match the Pedro Menendez boys defeated Ridgeview 7-0. Menendez is now 10-2.  Way to go!

The Girls Tennis Team lost 3-4 to Ridgeview High School in a close match yesterday.  Emily Kayworth and Melinda Thoms won both their singles and doubles matches.  Emily is now 10-1 in singles, and Melinda is 9-2.

 

Talent show rehearsals are today after school. Talent show is tomorrow, Wednesday at 6:30pm. Tickets are $7

All dodgeball forms and payments are due Dean Winter by this Friday!  The tournament is on March 9th.

The SJRSC scholarships are in. They are under the May section of the PMHS scholarship page. Please see your counselor in guidance if you have any questions.

SENIORS: the Jostens representatives will return to Pedro tomorrow Thursday, March 5th during all lunches to collect graduation payments.

Grad Bash- There are NO spots left.  Final payments are due before this Friday, March 6th!  No refunds will be given for any reason!  Permission forms are due back before March 30th.

The public library is holding a teen anime art contest and you’re welcome to submit your original art now through March 28th. Each artist can submit up to 3 pieces of artwork. See Mrs. Neff in the media center for an entry form and more information.

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE GIRL’S TENNIS TEAM: The Girls Tennis Team won over Bradford in a home match.  Emily Kayworth, Melinda Thomas, Hanna Johnston, Julia Hall, and Aubrey O’Connell all won their matches.  Emily Kayworth is now 7-1 on the season in both singles and doubles, and Melinda Thomas is 6-2 in singles.

Dodgeball Tournament- the Athletic Leadership Council will be hosting a Hawaiian themed Dodgeball Tournament on March 9th.  Information and team packets are available in the Deans office.  Teams consist of 8 people, and have at least 3 girls.  The cost is $80 per team.  Prizes are given out as well!  See Coach Winter with any questions.

Athletic Leadership Council:  Applications for Athletic Leadership Council are still available in the Deans office.  Applications are due back to Coach Winter by this Friday, February 27th!  See her with any questions.

Lots of good items to be raffled off. All proceeds go to help 8th grade Gamble Rogers student Makinley Rain Morris, who is battling Leukemia. Come out and show support.

Girls, did you attend the Women in IT presentation here at PMHS?  If so, don’t forget to apply for the one week summer paid internship at CITI. You can apply online at Women in IT. ORG.  Deadline is March 31st.  See Mrs. Danner in Guidance if you have questions.

“Cole Iversen finished 1st, Wesley Vierck 2nd and Chip Halter 3rd at the Skills USA regional Drafting competition on Friday.  They will all be moving on to the State Competition in April.  Please congratulate those students when you see them!”

“Three of Mr. Cofield’s drafting competitors finished 1st 2nd and 3rd in the Skills USA drafting competition on Friday at FSCJ.  They will be moving on to compete in the State competition in Lakeland in April.  Great job guys!”
